This special event brought together leaders, experts, stakeholders, and other representatives from across the caregiving spectrum. The organizations answering this CALL TO ACTION included major governmental agencies such as the Division of Aging and Adult Services and the Division of Developmental Disabilities, non-profit agencies including Area Agencies on Aging, Alzheimer's Association, ABIL - A Bridge to Independent Living, Foundation for Senior Living, Hospice of the Valley, and many others. Joining the collaborative effort in the future will be grassroots caregiver organizations such as local coalitions, and kinship care groups representing the thousands of grandparents raising grandchildren in Arizona. Also welcome will be the corporations that support the caregiving industry with products, training materials, and other resources that can help caregivers thrive, not just survive!
